Silent Serenade

closer to home
closer to home was recorded on one day in 1988.  It was my intention to capture live performances in a controlled studio environment rather than overdubbing and editing takes together etc... Along with my good friends Lloyd King (flutes), Lee J. Howard (piano), Jim Lichtenberger (violin), Geoff Perry (basses and violin) and David Steinquest (percussion), that is exactly what we did. The house in the photo is on a Century Farm in Adams, Tennessee where much of this music was created and rehearsed.  Listen Here.

Passages
passages was recorded one week in 1992.  Again it was my intention to capture live performances in a controlled studio environment rather than overdubbing and editing takes together etc... Along with my good friends Andrea Zonn (Violin), Lynn Peithman (cello), Jeff Taylor (piano), Dave Pomeroy and Geoff Perry (basses) and Ray Dunaway Jr.(percussion), that is exactly what we did. The CD artwork includes  passages from various authors and poets that inspired the music.

Flying Colors
flying colors was recorded over the course of a couple of years and released in 1995.  This time I had many collaborators including Tony Nagy and Eddie Bedford (basses), Chris Brown and Bob Mummert (drums), Ron Sorbo and Chris Nelson (percussion). David Angell and Jim Lichtenberger (violins), Linda Davis (viola), Lynn Peithman and Gary Tussing (cellos), Matt Davich (clarinet), Mark Douthit (tenor sax), Jeff Taylor (piano and accordion), Andrea Zonn (fiddle), Stuart Ziff (electric slide guitar), Prentiss Hobbs (trombone) and Jim Kirby (organ). The CD artwork includes an original canvas in each package.  Every CD jacket is unique, signed and numbered. Listen Here
